Leading Children..

Teachers, Parents, and adults have often commit mistakes in leading and teaching a children. They follow methods of other people, or sometimes pattern on how they were raised when they are young and kids. Sometimes they still remember the hurt of punishment they received from their teachers and parents before, that is why they transfer the difficulties of learning to the next generation.

But there is a bad effect to it, the love, affection, and joy that should be part of learning will be change to fear, hatred and anger, instead that the learner or child love and value the teacher, hate and fear will takes it place in between. Let us improve the process of learning, let us make learning an enjoyable and interesting one by being friendly and supportive to learner.

Leading for Change

Change is not easy, it needs sacrifice and patience. Because change is shifting from lower to higher or vise versa, the movement and improvement is very much difficult especially if the members or concern doesn't understand the goal and process. But whatever happen you need to persevere to achieve outcome no matter what because that is part of it.You will not come out to something different without effort, because every change and development needs effort, time, and money. It is rewarding to see later on that you have achieved your goal.

Situational Leadership Pattern

Leadership has different form of influencing. In any form there are strengths and weakness, and there are corresponding objectives and strategies to follow or to keep in mind.

The following are forms of influencing which can be utilize in controlling and directing a group as part leadership.

a) Telling, the objective of this type of influencing is to control the group. The strategies that should be implemented to this are; providing specifics(what, when, and where), define the role of every member, execute the predominantly one-way communication, made decisions, close supervision and accountability, and simple and specific instruction. The weaknesses of this type are demanding, demeaning, dominating, and attacking members of the group. This type of leadership must be executed to the group that are unable and unwilling to follow, and the type is effective if leader will use it for telling, guiding, directing, and establishing with the members of the group.
b) Selling, the objective of this type of influencing is to convince the group. The strategies that should be implemented are; provide (who, what, when, where, how, and why), explain decisions and allow opportunity for clarification, provide two-way dialog, leader made decisions. The weaknesses of this type are manipulating, preaching, defending, and rationalizing. This type must be executed to followers who are unable but
